A question long in coming.
Oct. 18th, 2014 12:20 amIt had honestly taken him all day. It wasn't the only reason he'd left their house early that morning, he actually had a few errands to run in the city, but he got through those quickly enough. He'd rather deal with a hoard of weevils than choose a ring. Well, no, he preferred this, but the other would have been easier.
You'd think it wouldn't be so hard since he'd been married before, but he'd given up on ever being married again...this wasn't something he was supposed to be considering. Not considering, decided on. He was going to ask her.
It took several hours and more than one store clerk's opinions, but Jack had finally settled on something and purchased it with the money he'd been saving. He practically floated back home and through the door, the little box tucked safely in the depths of one of his coat's pockets, Jack went in search of his girlfriend.
"Honey, I'm home." He smirked at his own joke and decided either the kitchen or their bedroom was a good guess. Well, if she was home, she could have gone out while he was gone.
